He stated Iran has helped Syrian President Assad to stay in power.
Iran supports Hezbollah in Lebanon and Hamas in the Gaza Strip. It aids the Houthi rebels in Yemen. So countries in the region are right to be deeply concerned about Iran’s activities, especially its support for violent proxies inside the borders of other nations so stated USA President Obama.
He expressed concern over the inner dynamics of Iran. He states “there are leaders and groups that for decades have defined themselves in opposition to both the United States and our regional partners.”
In light of the nuclear weapons and sanctions deal, USA President Obama states : it’s also possible that if we can successfully address the nuclear question and Iran begins to receive relief from some nuclear sanctions, it could lead to more investments in the Iranian economy and more opportunity for the Iranian people, which could strengthen the hands of more moderate leaders in Iran.”
